Why Transparency Matters

AI has crossed a threshold where generated content can plausibly pass as human work. A colored pencil portrait, a well-written article, functional code—these can all be AI-generated but appear to represent hours of human effort and specialized skills.

It's a bit bureaucratic, yes. But it's necessary respect in an environment where the technology makes ambiguity frictionless.

The Accuracy Problem

AI-generated content carries a unique risk: it can be confidently wrong.

If you're publishing AI-assisted code on your personal site with an MIT license, that's a completely different contract. You have a duty of transparency (which you meet by labeling AI involvement), not a duty to guarantee correctness.
